We've been eating here for years. I always get their 4 pc chicken dinner and I'm never able to eat all of it! It's a very friendly, hometown restaurant. You'll see the same faces there day in and day out. Many of the guests will talk to you if they recognize you. They have good food, good service and a good atmosphere. It's not fancy. It's home.

You would be better off with a frozen dinner. The people are friendly and the place is clean but the food is mediocre at best and tastes frozen or premade. They get away with it because in New Carlisle the choices are limited.

If you are looking for a great little country restaurant with good food try Studebaker's. If you are a bacon lover you'll love their breakfast....always 4 or 5 slices of thick bacon with your meal. The service is consistently good and it's always busy. They have daily specials (same specials every Monday, etc) so you can count on getting your favorite on a certain day. Pie is good too and there are usually 15 or 20 choices.

First time at Studebaker's, I chuckled at the ol' timey country ambience. Waiter had a wonderful attitude & was lickety split at our table to take drink orders & give us a menu. We ordered biscuits & gravy which were truly outstanding. It feels like you're in your Gramma's kitchen, with everyone being so friendly & accomodating. This place is a MUST if you're in the area!

I absolutely love this place. It has a very homey feel to it, the staff are always friendly and genuinely happy to help you. The food is out of this world; I'e yet to have anything from here that I didnt really like. It's quaint, it's warm, it's the perfect spot for a lazy sunday breakfast. Love it.

Very good! I had the cod dinner with a baked potato & dinner salad, and all were very tasty! I especially liked the homemade garlic croutons on the salad. My hubby had the 4 piece broasted chicken dinner and it was more than he could eat. We were generously supplied with unlimited beverage and warm bread. Nice selection of side items & pies. Waitress was attentive & friendly. Nice place!

Standard country restaurant style dinner food... broasted chicken, burgers, etc., plus two or three rotating nightly specials, but the REAL reason to stop in here is for the breakfast!! Great combos, mountains of sausage and gravy (if you love that mess...!!) and my personal favorite, an AMAZING veggie omlette... Mmmmmm!! Endless cups of coffee, a loooooooong list of yummy, comfort food sides (jello?!? cottage cheese? 50 ways to eat a potato?!?! And the pies... Great local spot w/ wait staff that really knows their stuff!! Go for it!!
